What is VirtueMart

VirtueMart is a free, open-source e-commerce extension built specifically to run inside the Joomla! content management system. It began life as "mambo-phpShop" for the Mambo CMS and was rebranded as VirtueMart when Mambo's community forked to create Joomla, and it has been developed as a Joomla component ever since. It is written in PHP and stores its data in a MySQL database.

Because VirtueMart runs as a component inside Joomla rather than as a standalone platform, a store's product catalog, categories, and orders all live alongside the rest of a Joomla site's content. VirtueMart is distributed under the GNU General Public License, and current development (version 4.x, with a version 5 beta in progress) continues to add features such as multi-language catalogs, shopper-group pricing, and stock tracking with backorder support.

VirtueMart can be switched into a catalog-only mode where the shopping cart and checkout are disabled. Stores running in this mode will naturally have little or no order data to sync.
Version differences matter
VirtueMart has gone through major version changes (from version 2 through the current 4.x line, with 5 in beta), and upgrades can change underlying data structures, so it is worth confirming your store is on a current, supported version before connecting.
Setup

Connect VirtueMart in five steps.

Feedance connects directly to your VirtueMart store using the credentials and access details you provide during setup. Once the connection is authorized, Feedance reads your product, inventory, and order data on a schedule and makes it available for feed generation, channel exports, and order-related updates.
