PinnacleCart is a hosted (SaaS) e-commerce platform that lets merchants build, design, and manage an online store without hosting their own servers. It includes a drag-and-drop store builder, inventory tracking, support for more than 25 payment gateways, shipping management, real-time tax calculation, and marketing and reporting tools. PinnacleCart operates today as part of Ultra Commerce and markets itself toward small and mid-sized, growth-focused online retailers.
Because PinnacleCart hosts the storefront, database, and checkout for its merchants, any external tool that needs product, inventory, or order data has to go through the store's API rather than a self-hosted database connection.
Merchants running a PinnacleCart store typically want their catalog to reach shopping channels, marketplaces, and comparison sites without manually rebuilding spreadsheets every time a price or stock level changes. Connecting Pinnacle Cart to Feedance lets you:
Feedance connects directly to your PinnacleCart store using the credentials you provide during setup. Once the connection is authorized, Feedance retrieves your product catalog, inventory levels, and order data on a scheduled basis and keeps that data available for building and updating your product feeds.
You stay in control of the connection at all times: it uses read access for catalog and order data, and any updates Feedance makes (such as inventory adjustments) are limited to the data entities described below. You can review or revoke the connection from your PinnacleCart account whenever you choose.
Feedance works with exactly three data entities from any connected platform, including Pinnacle Cart:
PinnacleCart's API is not enabled by default. A store admin must turn it on from Settings > Advanced Settings > API Access, generate an API username, password, and token, and save those settings before any external application, including Feedance, can read store data. If this step has not been completed, a new connection attempt will fail even with otherwise correct account details. PinnacleCart's API also supports multiple data formats (XML, JSON, and SOAP), which is a detail specific to how the platform structures its integration layer, though this does not change what you need to do on your end to connect.
Feedance syncs your PinnacleCart data on a regular, automated schedule so your feeds reflect recent catalog and inventory changes without manual exports. Sync frequency can vary based on your plan and store size, and you can also trigger a manual sync from your Feedance dashboard whenever you need the latest data right away.
You provide Feedance with your PinnacleCart store URL and connection credentials during setup. Feedance uses this to securely access your store's product, inventory, and order data on an ongoing basis, so your feeds stay based on current store information.
Yes. PinnacleCart's API is disabled by default. A store admin needs to enable API Access from Settings, Advanced Settings, API Access in the PinnacleCart admin panel and generate API credentials before Feedance or any other external tool can connect.
Feedance works with three data entities from Pinnacle Cart: products, inventory, and orders. It reads product details such as titles, descriptions, images, and prices, reads and helps keep inventory levels current, and reads order records related to your catalog. Feedance does not access customer records, coupons, or shipping and tax settings.
Feedance syncs your Pinnacle Cart data automatically on a regular schedule, so catalog and inventory changes flow through to your feeds without manual work. If you need the latest data immediately, for example after a bulk price update, you can trigger a manual sync from your Feedance dashboard.
Start by checking that API Access is still enabled in your PinnacleCart admin settings and that the API credentials have not been regenerated or expired. If the connection was recently interrupted, re-entering fresh credentials in Feedance and reauthorizing the connection typically resolves it. If products or inventory still are not updating after that, try running a manual sync from Feedance.
