Rather than being a shopping cart built from scratch, JooCart works as a native Joomla component that integrates the OpenCart engine into a Joomla site: store data such as products, categories, and orders are held in an OpenCart-compatible database structure, while the storefront and admin experience are wrapped in Joomla. This means JooCart merchants can also use many extensions originally built for OpenCart, alongside Joomla-specific features like single sign-on between Joomla users and store customers, multi-language and multi-store support, and SEO-friendly URLs.
