CubeCart is a British ecommerce shopping cart application built on PHP and MySQL, originally launched in 2003. It is designed to be installed on a merchant's own web server (self-hosted), though managed hosting packages are also offered, and the full source code is provided free of charge for store owners to run and customize.
The platform covers the core needs of running an online store, including a product catalogue with options and variants, stock and order management, multi-currency support, and a marketplace of official and third-party extensions for payment gateways, shipping, and other add-ons. The current major release line is CubeCart 6.x.
Because CubeCart is self-hosted, store owners are responsible for how product data leaves the store and reaches shopping channels, marketplaces, and ad platforms. Connecting CubeCart to Feedance gives you a single place to pull your product catalogue, stock levels, and order data out of your store and turn them into optimized, up-to-date feeds without manually exporting files or writing custom scripts.
This is especially useful for CubeCart merchants who want to list products on comparison shopping engines or marketplaces but do not want to maintain a bespoke integration against their store's database or API themselves.
Feedance connects directly to your CubeCart store using the credentials and access details you provide during setup. Once connected, Feedance reads your store's product, inventory, and order data on a schedule and keeps it available for feed generation and channel exports, without requiring you to maintain any manual export or import process.
All data is retrieved securely, and the connection can be reviewed, refreshed, or removed at any time from your Feedance account.
Because CubeCart is self-hosted, your store's server must be reachable on the internet and configured with the necessary access (such as an active admin account or API key) for a connection to be established; a store running only on a local or internal network cannot be reached. CubeCart also lets merchants define per-product low-stock thresholds (a default warning level applies when none is set), and products with multiple options, such as size and colour, can carry separate stock levels and SKUs for each combination through CubeCart's option matrix. These details are worth checking before connecting, since they affect how granular your stock and variant data will be once synced.
Once connected, Feedance refreshes your CubeCart product, inventory, and order data on a regular automated schedule, so your feeds reflect recent price, stock, and catalogue changes without manual re-importing. You can also trigger a manual refresh in Feedance when you need the latest data immediately, such as right after a bulk price update or restock in your store.
Feedance connects directly to your CubeCart store using the store URL and access credentials you provide when setting up the connection. Once connected, Feedance regularly reads your product, inventory, and order data so it can build and update your feeds without any manual exporting on your part.
Yes. Since CubeCart runs on your own server rather than a hosted platform, your store needs to be publicly reachable on the internet with the appropriate admin access or API credentials available for Feedance to connect. A store that is only accessible on a local or internal network cannot be linked.
Feedance works with three types of data from CubeCart: products, including titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and options; inventory, meaning stock levels and availability, including per-variant stock; and orders, which are used to keep product performance information current. Feedance does not access customer accounts, coupons, or shipping and tax settings.
Feedance automatically refreshes your CubeCart data on a regular schedule after the initial connection, so ongoing catalogue and stock changes are picked up without extra work. If you need changes reflected right away, such as after a bulk price update, you can also trigger a manual refresh from your Feedance account.
CubeCart allows products with multiple options, such as size and colour, to have separate stock levels and SKUs for each combination through its option matrix. Feedance reads this variant-level data, so it is important to make sure stock and SKUs are filled in for every option combination in CubeCart, not just the base product, to get accurate results in your feed.
