What is Cimri?

Cimri is one of Turkey's largest price comparison and shopping engines, occupying the same category as Akakçe. It pulls in offers for the same product from many online stores and marketplace sellers — including listings that originate on Trendyol, Hepsiburada, and N11 as well as independent e-commerce sites — and lets shoppers compare price, seller, and delivery time side by side before deciding where to buy.

Cimri does not process the transaction itself. When a shopper clicks a listing, they are redirected away from Cimri to the merchant's own website or marketplace storefront to complete the purchase. That makes Cimri a discovery and price-comparison layer sitting in front of your actual checkout, not a marketplace you sell through directly.

Why connect your product feed to Cimri?

Cimri sends purchase-intent traffic: visitors are already comparing prices for a specific product, so a click is a strong buying signal rather than casual browsing. Sellers use Cimri to reach shoppers who are actively price-shopping across dozens of categories — electronics, home & living, fashion and watches, baby & kids, books, hobbies and music, sports, health and beauty, automotive, garden, and supermarket and pet supplies among them.

Because Cimri displays your price next to every competing offer for the same product, a feed that is accurate, current, and competitively priced matters more here than on almost any other channel — shoppers will see immediately if you're not the cheapest option before they ever land on your site.

How Cimri's per-click pricing model affects your feed

Cimri does not charge a listing fee or take a percentage commission on completed sales. Instead, sellers pay a per-click referral fee only when a shopper clicks a product listing and is redirected to the seller's own site — a cost-per-click (CPC) model similar in spirit to Akakçe's. The referral fee scales with the product's price shown in the feed, so a click on a higher-priced item costs more than a click on a cheaper one. Sellers prepay this cost as credit loaded into their Cimri account; there is no separate membership or store-opening fee.

Because every click is paid for whether or not it converts, feed accuracy has a direct cost impact: if the price or availability in your feed doesn't match what the shopper finds on your site, you've already paid for a click that bounces. Keeping price and stock data current is a cost-control measure on Cimri, not just an SEO nicety.

What feed format does Cimri require?

Cimri ingests product data through a pull-based XML feed: you host an XML file — either generated by your e-commerce platform, a feed-management tool, or built to Cimri's own template — and Cimri's crawler fetches it from your feed URL on a schedule the platform controls. This is the same delivery model used by Akakçe and other Turkish comparison-shopping engines, and it means there is no push API for standard sellers to upload data directly.

Onboarding starts after your Cimri store application is approved: your account manager will ask for the XML feed URL for your catalog, which they then register against your account.

Which product attributes does Cimri require?

Cimri's XML template is built around a fixed set of fields that partner e-commerce panels map merchant data onto. The exact tag names can vary slightly by which platform generates the file, but the underlying data requirements are consistent:

How to connect Cimri with Feedance

  1. Apply for a Cimri store account first, outside Feedance — Cimri onboards sellers by application rather than self-serve signup, requesting your authorized representative's name, email and phone, plus your company name, e-commerce site URL, tax certificate, address, and Mersis number. Accuracy here matters, since incomplete or inconsistent details are a documented cause of approval delays.
  2. Once approved, connect your product source in Feedance — your store platform, an existing XML/CSV export, or a spreadsheet — so Feedance has a live, structured view of your catalog to work from.
  3. Create a Cimri channel in Feedance and map your fields to the attributes Cimri expects: product code, title, category, brand, one chosen price field, stock, images, and shipping day. Set your VAT handling correctly if your source prices exclude VAT.
  4. Copy the feed URL Feedance generates and provide it to your Cimri account manager to register against your store, since Cimri pulls from a URL rather than accepting an upload.
  5. Turn on scheduled syncing in Feedance so price, stock, and availability changes reach your feed automatically, and check your first live batch on Cimri against your storefront prices before scaling up spend.

How often should your Cimri feed update?

Cimri does not publish one universal refresh guarantee for every seller — integrators describe the platform re-crawling submitted feed URLs at intervals Cimri itself determines, which can vary by account and catalog size. Because your listed price and stock can lag behind your feed by up to that interval, and because you pay per click regardless of whether the shopper's visit converts, it's worth updating price- and stock-sensitive catalogs as frequently as your platform allows — at minimum daily, and closer to hourly if your prices or inventory shift often — to avoid paying for clicks on stale offers.

Cimri feed optimization tips

  1. Sync price and stock as close to real time as your platform supports — since you pay per click, stale prices or out-of-stock items directly waste ad credit rather than just hurting SEO.
  2. Fill in barcode/GTIN and brand accurately so Cimri groups your listing correctly against competing sellers of the identical product.
  3. Supply multiple, working image URLs rather than relying on a single image or letting Cimri fall back to a generic placeholder.
  4. Set an honest, current shippingDay value — comparison shoppers weigh delivery time alongside price, and a mismatch between promised and actual delivery erodes trust after the click has already been paid for.
  5. Monitor your price against other sellers of the same product, since Cimri is explicitly designed to surface that comparison to shoppers before they click through to you.

PYTANIA I ODPOWIEDZI

Is Cimri a marketplace I sell through, or a price comparison site?
Cimri is a price comparison engine. It does not process payments or fulfillment — shoppers who click a listing are redirected to your own website or marketplace storefront to complete the purchase.

Does Cimri charge commission on sales?
No. Cimri does not take a percentage of completed sales. Instead it charges a per-click referral fee, proportional to the product's price, funded by prepaid credit in your account — there is no separate membership fee.

How do I get a Cimri store account?
Cimri onboards sellers by application rather than instant self-signup, typically requiring your authorized representative's contact details plus company information including your tax certificate, business address, and Mersis number.

What format does Cimri expect the product feed in?
An XML feed that Cimri's crawler pulls from a URL you provide, the same pull-based delivery model used by other Turkish comparison-shopping engines like Akakçe.

Does Cimri support product variants like color and size?
Yes — Cimri-compatible feed templates generated by mainstream e-commerce platforms support pulling variant inventory (color, size, and similar options) so each variant's stock is reflected individually.

What happens if a product runs out of stock?
Most feed tools that generate Cimri XML automatically exclude or deactivate zero-stock products before submission, since a click on an unavailable item still costs you the per-click fee with no chance of converting.

How quickly do price changes on my site reach Cimri?
It depends on how often your feed updates and how frequently Cimri re-crawls your feed URL, which Cimri controls and can vary by account — keeping your feed refreshed at least daily, and more often for volatile pricing, minimizes the lag.
